Saga Egmont announces new partnerships with a focus on bringing more inclusivity to audio publishing

Saga Egmont confirms two new collaborations with independent British publishers Muswell Press and Violet Gaze Press to produce, publish and globally distribute audio formats of over 50 titles across both backlist and frontlist in the English language.

The collection of titles included in the deals feature stories from a wide range of voices and celebrates inclusivity across genre, from diverse and sexy romance to queer classics and representative fiction and non-fiction.

Programme Manager for Saga Egmont’s English catalogue, Nikoline Nordfred Eriksen comments: “We are incredibly excited to be working with such forward thinking indie publishers who embrace all types of authors and stories. There is a lot of work to be done in making publishing more inclusive, not least from a content perspective, and we are committed to bringing all stories to life, from multiple points of reference.”

Saga Egmont is a digital publishing house owned by the Nordic media group, Egmont with a mission to make books accessible to everyone, everywhere. Violet Gaze Press and Muswell Press are the latest independent publishers to team up with Saga Egmont, following earlier collaboration announcements with digital publishers, Hera and Canelo.

“We are delighted to be working with Saga to bring 18 Muswell titles to a wider audience on audio book.  It is such an exciting venture and we look forward to collaborating on future titles” comments Sarah Beal, Publisher at Muswell Press.

It’s not just independent publishers who are keen to sign on with Saga Egmont. Independent authors are also finding a home at the innovative digital publishing house. Author, R.M. Virtues has just signed with Saga Egmont to produce, publish and distribute audio formats of his fantasy romance Gods of Hunger series which offers a completely fresh take on Greek Mythology re-telling. “I’m honored to have this opportunity to bring my books to life with Saga Egmont, and I cannot wait to begin this journey together!” says R.M. Virtues.
